I’ve grown up and lived in Higher Kinnerton my whole life which is longer than I want to admit to. Professionally, I’m a Civil Engineer, specialising in Highway Design within the Planning realm. I’m also an experienced Mechanic and have an interest in (landscape) photography.
I served on the Council previously for 5 years between 2015 and 2020 and have re-joined after taking a break.

I moved here from Chester in 2018, having retired at the end of 2017 as a Dispensing Optician with my own practice in Cumbria. Previous experience includes many years in the IT industry followed by a rewarding career as a landscape photographer. I was chair of Governors at our local village school in Cumbria for 6 years and also helped with village-based projects, including the planning, development and maintenance of our village play area. I am recently married, and also have two children and two young grandchildren.

I moved to the village with my parents in 1980 and, although I lived overseas for years, have called Kinnerton home ever since. I ran the local junior badminton club for over 10 years and more recently set up the village Coronavirus volunteer group. My husband and I are foster carers. I recently retired from Flintshire Adult Social Services.

I moved to Higher Kinnerton in October 2019 having lived in Hawarden for 20 years. After graduating from university, I ran a small business with my brother before moving into the legal sector in the NHS which I have been a part of for the past 5 years. I hope that my skills can be of use in protecting the fantastic rural village that we live in.
