January 2026. The installation of a new Wildlife Bench at the Sandy Lane crossroads was completed this month after much planning and deliberation. The bench is a tribute to the wildlife of our surrounding countryside as well as fits one of the main tenets of the Heritage Trail which educates about our village’s history and it’s place in the rural landscape. Its location allows those walking the trail to pause and sit awhile to enjoy the view, the sounds of the countryside and reflect.
