Nature Wardens Project
The Higher Kinnerton Nature Wardens Project was started in 2019 with the aim of preserving, protecting and acting to increase wildlife, hedgerows and trees within the village.
The project aims to address four key biodiversty areas, namely Bees, Bats, Hedgehogs, and Trees & Hedgerows.

In the early part of 2022 the Nature Wardens team gathered a group of volunteers from the village and planted a number of tree saplings in the Park Avenue park. The trees are all native species and were procured under the funding available for the project. In addition the Community Council, working with Flintshire County Council, has replaced the hedging along Bennetts Lane opposite the village hall, again using indigenous species and with the benefits to birdlife and wildlife at the heart of the project.

The team have produced an easy to read and informative booklet which can be downloaded here.
